I created an online ‘letter of intent’ for members to sign in order to enter the 2012 Crossfit Games Online Open. So far almost 50 people have signed up — I’d like everyone at the gym to participate!
The ‘letter of intent’ is a great summary of why we think competing is important, what we think you’ll get out of it, and what we expect. If you haven’t seen it before, here’s what it says!
“I want to test myself in the 2012 CrossFit Games Online Open. I want to see what I am capable of, I want to push myself past all previous limits. I want to support the CrossFit Portland Team and represent this community with integrity and my best effort.
I may not be an “elite” CrossFitter. I might have to scale the workouts. I might not be able to accomplish all the challenges.
All the ‘what-if-I-can’t’ talk ends now. I have no control over what challenges I will face.
I am ready to focus on giving my best effort for that is the ONLY variable in my control. I look forward to supporting and being supported by the CrossFit Portland community.

beg- work up to a heavy set of 5, then 2 more sets @90% of that.
C. Toes to Bar: 3 x 8-12; rest 60 sec
