CrossFit Portland members have the privilege of temporarily suspending their autopay membership accounts. These suspensions allow a member to be away from the gym, save any unused duration of their current month, not pay future membership fees, and still retain their progress towards:
1) 2+ Year Member wall
2) Yearly Membership Longevity discounts (if applicable)
3) Partner Discounts (If suspensions are for more than a month, partner discounts will not apply)
Suspensions are only to be used for the following situations:
2) work related
5) sport specific training outside gym (e.g. marathon)
In order to suspend, you must provide the following:
1) A Start and End date. For example, June 1st to June 14th.
2) A minimum of 7 days of suspension.
3) Advance notice to CrossFit Portland staff in writing at least 48 hours before suspension starts.
Exceptions to this are for major medical reasons (e.g. knee surgery), pregnancy, and looking for a new job.
If you need more suspension time, just let us know at least 48 hours before the end of your current suspension. Follow the same procedure above.
If you want to start back up sooner, just let us know and we can end a suspension early as well.
When your account is suspended, you will be unable to use the gym for classes or Open Gym.
It is your responsibility to keep track of when your account will become unsuspended. If an account unsuspends and a scheduled autopayment is run, there are no refunds on the payment or the elapsed days after your account unsuspended.
We are not notified in anyway when your account unsuspends. Again, you will need to keep track of when your suspension ends if it is of concern to you.
Holly’s membership autopayment is on the 1st of every month. She requests a suspension for vacation from May 31st to June 10th. She sends the request 3 days before May 31st, more than the 48 hours necessary to process it.
On May 31st, her account will automatically freeze. She will not be able to use classes that day.
On June 1st, her scheduled autopayment DOES NOT RUN because her account is frozen.
One June 4th, she realizes she will be returning from vacation early on June 6th and wants to take classes on June 7th. She sends us her request to unsuspend her account early.
Her account unsuspends on the morning of June 7th and her autopayment is run. Due to the suspension, her autopayment has moved from the 1st of every month to the 7th.
Suspending your membership at CrossFit Portland is a privilege of your membership here. It is not to be used in replacement of terminating your membership. We reserve the right to terminate your membership for inappropriate use of the suspension policy.
