The Crossfit Open starts February 22, so in the coming weeks we’ll examine a number of topics related to being a competitive fitness athlete.
Three weeks ago, I was one of a select group of 8 coaches who attended the OPT CCP Level II Program Design Seminar.
It was an amazing experience for me to learn directly from James Fitzgerald (OPT) as well as the other coaches.
We looked at putting into practice the absolute latest cutting-edge training methodology, much of which is just now coming into use by some Olympic and elite-level coaches.
Much of James’ own data was gathered from testing Crossfit athletes specifically. It was a priceless and intense experience, to say the least!
In my next series of articles, I’ll explain several approaches that we discussed that will help a competitive CrossFitter reach their full potential.
In this first article, I’m going to review 10 training variables that you can tweak to improve your performance in the sport of fitness. These tweaks will work for any athlete at any level of fitness.
Remember, whether or not you feel ready, the 2012 Crossfit Games Open is a great time to see where you’re at and get your feet “wet” in competition.
Members, look for the full article in your inboxes Thursday afternoon!
